Car rental
I've rented quite a few cars so far in my life. At the end of
the day, I have to say that unless you're constantly travelling for
business purposes, it's all the freaking same. These companies are constantly trying to one up each other with deals.
Do some research online and you can find some real good coupons and
codes to use for your car rental.
I've also found this out which is very good to know. Many times the
best deals are released on a month by month basis and are only good for
a short time. On three different occassions, I went and tried to find
deals for a car rental because I was taking a trip in the summer. Found
nothing good applicable until one month before.
So my advice is to book the most reasonable rate you can find and make
sure you can cancel it without losing a penny. Then, when you are about
5 weeks away from your trip, start looking for a car rental with those
deals. There are many places online that post info weekly. You're much
more likely to find a good deal right before you leave. If you do, just
cancel the other one and book the better deal. I saved over $150 doing
this. And it worked on multiple occassions.
Oh and another tip for car rentals. Never gas up right near the place.
It seems prices are ALWAYS higher there. Go at least 5 miles down the
road and you'll find it much cheaper.
I hope that helps. Take care and I hope you find a great car rental for
your next trip or vacation!
